On line Governor Training
Governors in Norfolk are provided with face to face training through Governor Services. The timing and venues offered for such training preclude a significant number of governors from attending. Governors elsewhere in the Country are provided, through their Local Authority, access to online training from the East Learning Centre – Governors E-Learning (G.E.L) and/or Modern Governor – E-Learning for School Governors.
The County Committee would like governors in Norfolk to avail themselves of the free trials offered by these two companies and report back to the County Committee to support or otherwise a case for asking the LA to provide it for Norfolk governors.
To access these free trials please follow the instructions below:
Use this link to access Governors East Learning and click on 30 day trial. This will let you use its on-line training on a trial basis for 30 days
Use this link to access Modern Governor on–line training follow these instructions:
- Click on REGISTER in top right hand corner
- Fill in details
- When at ‘Select your LEA’ – choose NOT LISTED
- Continue filling in details
- You will receive an email with a link to activate your account
- You will have access to a selection of 4 Modern Governor courses
