Norfolk Governors' Network represents governors in Norfolk on numerous other partner organisations in the county and nationally.

    The Norfolk Children and Young People's Partnership is the multi agency group facilitating effective governance and working arrangements to improve outcomes for children and young people. The Area Children and Young People's Partnerships (known as Area Partnerships) identify local priorities and ways they will be addressed through partnership between a range of agencies working with children, young people and families with reference to the County priorities for improving outcomes for children and young people laid out in the Norfolk Children and Young People's Plan.

    NGN co-ordinates governor representatives to sit on the area partnerships.

    Norfolk County Council provides governor services for all governors in the county.  This includes adivce and guidance as well as a comprehensive set of education courses.  NGN provides input into the service provided by NCC Governor Services via representation on the Governor Services Reference Group.

    The Education Act 2002 made it a legislative requirement for all LEAs to set up a Schools Forum. This body must be consulted on certain school funding issues and in turn must inform the governing bodies of maintained schools about these consultations.  NGN provides governor representatives from across Norfolk to sit on Norfolk's Schools Forum.

    The NGA is an independent, non-political organisation. It is recognised as the VOICE of the Nation's governing bodies. The NGN is a Local Governor Association Member of the NGA and communicates with it; therefore Norfolk Governors` VOICES can also be heard by the DCSF and the Government.
