Future-proofing your finances – the challenges ahead
Please note this conference is for secondary heads and governors only (i.e. not for primary or special schools as was intimated in recent press coverage).
Thursday 18 March 2010 (9.00 am – 4.00 pm). To be held at Top of the Terrace, Norwich City Football Club, Carrow Road, Norwich, NR1 1JE
This is one of the most important Keynote Conferences of recent times. Indeed, it is so important that NCC Childrens Services have moved the venue to Norwich City Football Club and it will be free.
This conference is intended for three or four members of your school community (Head, Chair of Governors, Business Manager/Bursar/Chair of Finance).
Given the looming financial issues and falling rolls that face our schools, we urge all schools to send three or four people to this conference. There will be no charge for any school, regardless of whether it subscribes to the Learning Diamond and irrespective of numbers sent.
During the day there will be a briefing from Paul Fisher on his letter of the 18 February 2010 and a chance to discuss issues in groups, ask questions and contribute ideas to help formulate the LA’s support strategy. A large number of High Schools have had concerns raised as a result of audits and there will be a briefing from the Norfolk Audit Service to clarify common problems. NCSL will be represented to talk about professional development for support staff and one of our own Headteachers will talk about financial planning in a time of reduced resources.
Your presence – and that of your colleagues – will be essential if the LA is to help you navigate the choppy waters ahead.
Please attend – it’s free! Book online at http://www.cpd.norfolk.gov.uk/sdms - course reference : ESXR7 A
